Rhinos are one of the world’s most endangered species, largely due to illegal poaching to supply demand for rhino horn products. In recent years, although rhino poaching figures have slowly decreased, the problem remains an imminent threat to rhino populations worldwide.

To raise awareness of this issue and the importance of ecosystem balance, UTS will collaborate with The Wild Rhino to organize Rhino Day: “Protecting Rhinos and other endangered wild animals” as follows:

    Purpose:

    • To spread the message of preventing poaching, protecting rhinos and wildlife species in the natural environment and preserving ecosystem balance

    • To provide opportunities to build strong relationship between parents and children

Participants: All of parents and students from Primary and Secondary Division

    Time: 8:00 – 11:00, Saturday, October 7th, 2023

Venue: Auditorium N2T1, UTS Van Lang Complex

As a part of the event, students will be able to share their spirit of wildlife protection and receive awards certified by Wilderness Foundation Africa.

    • Drawing contest for Primary

    • Writing contest for Secondary
