Introduction:

The growing talent program at US Vietnam Talent International School equips students with the knowledge, skills and core qualities so that they can exploit their potential. The program consists of four parts: physical education, personal development and social skills, arts, science and technology.

Physical Education

Diverse activities help students gain more knowledge, skills, and opportunities for physical training and improvement. At UTS, students participate in activities that are suitable for their physical condition and age, including basketball, badminton, short-running, swimming, yoga, dancing and more. In addition to the optimized curriculum, UTS likewise offers modern and safe facilities and support equipment for students.

Personal development and social skills

The program is designed to nurture the qualities and develop essential social skills in every global citizen at UTS, including extensive reading activities – learning to read, experiential activities, career orientation, and life skills like social and emotional learning. For "learn to read" activities, students develop active reading habits and a love of reading as well as comprehensively develop students' language skills. The Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program is based on UNICEF’s skills groups (UNICEF Life Skills Learning and Teaching: Concepts and Standard) to help students make progress in academic performance and behavior; empathize with understand others to cooperate and build relationships; and analyze information to solve problems and make responsible decisions.

Art

The subject at UTS provides students with the understanding and capacity to enjoy, practice and create creative work. In addition, through art subjects, UTS helps students develop personal competence, raising awareness and changing the behavior of their communities, developing their local communities, and more. Besides participating in music and art with many diverse activities, UTS students can also transform into different characters in their performing arts classes. Through this subject, students learn to understand the character's personality and behavior, thereby teaching themselves to follow the values of truth, goodness, and beauty. Moreover, being on stage is also a way to practice emotional expression and confidence.

Science and Technology

Information Technology, STEAM and scientific research activities help students unleash their passion to explore, discover, experiment, and apply knowledge to solve problems by putting theory into practice. The subjects also provide the foundation for students to be ready to adapt to the changes of the modern world - changes brought about by the rapid and remarkable development of science and technology.
