Commencing from the academic year 2022 – 2023, the UTS House System has seamlessly integrated itself as an indispensable component of the school’s commitment to delivering holistic education for the UTS Community. Academic competitions and events were organized throughout the academic year to spread the international spirit, promoting teamwork, responsibility, individual talent, and most importantly, strengthening friendships and relationships among the UTS Community.

Every member is a gem

The UTS House System operates for students from Grade 3 to Grade 12 at both campuses – Van Lang Complex and Botanique. Each house is a unique color and has its own personality, representing six core values that we always uphold in all activities:

The names were chosen with the strong belief that each of our students is a gem, with unique colors, characteristics, and potential. The role of Educators at UTS is to hone, nurture, and unleash their talents so that they can thrive.

The holistic education for students

The House Activity Program encompasses two distinct categories in which students will compete: House Academics and House Events.

In the House Academics category, students will compete individually as representatives of their own House. They will actively accumulate House points by demonstrating excellent work or displaying a positive attitude in various classroom situations, representing the school’s six core values.

Regarding the House Events category, students will participate in inter-House events and competitions throughout the academic year 2023 – 2024. It provides a holistic education for students in terms of academics, skills, physics, and mentality through classroom learning and experiential learning at school.

The House Kick-off Ceremony on September 15th is the beginning of upcoming exciting activities awaiting UTS-ers in the academic year 2023 – 2024. “Exciting, vibrant, and colorful” are terms that can describe the ceremony’s atmosphere.

Students and teachers have a chance to meet and get to know “housemates”. They chanted slogans of determination and demonstrated their solidarity.

Now, each student will represent their House to unanimously strive, compete and finally achieve the prestigious House Trophy and Shield.

US Vietnam Talent International School System (UTS) has officially achieved full accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS), one of the world’s leading international education accreditation organizations, recognized for its rigorous standards in evaluating schools that meet global benchmarks. This milestone reaffirms UTS’s comprehensive educational quality and its long-standing commitment to sustainable development aligned with international standards. UTS officially achieves full CIS Accreditation CIS Accreditation – A Global Benchmark for Educational Quality and Transparency As parents increasingly seek international education opportunities within Vietnam, independent accreditations from globally recognized organizations have become an important measure of a school’s quality and transparency. Achieving CIS accreditation is not only a recognition of UTS’s continuous efforts, but also opens opportunities for students to access an internationally recognized education. CIS accreditation serves as evidence of the internationally benchmarked educational quality at UTS. The Council of International Schools (CIS) is an international organization dedicated to evaluating and accrediting schools worldwide, with a network of more than 1,300 schools across over 120 countries. It can be understood as a “global benchmark” that helps parents and students identify trustworthy educational environments. To receive CIS accreditation, a school must meet high standards in educational quality and undergo a multi-year evaluation process with rigorous reviews. Every essential aspect — from curriculum and teaching quality to student experience, school culture, and operational systems — is carefully assessed. The goal is to ensure that all elements of the school operate cohesively and meet international standards, creating a reliable, consistent, and student-centered learning environment. UTS House Debate Championship – The arena of argumentation & multidimensional thinking of Primary UTS-ers

Last Friday morning, April 10, 2026, the Primary School House Debate at UTS took place in an exciting and dynamic atmosphere. More than just an academic competition, it was a learning playground where young UTS-ers could grow, learn, and respect one another. Throughout the event, students developed essential skills in listening, critical thinking, and confidently expressing their viewpoints, while fostering a spirit of open-minded and respectful dialogue. At UTS, each House is not only a team but also a representation of a core value that every UTSer strives toward. Each House carries its own unique identity, contributing to a diverse yet united student community. These values were clearly reflected in every debate round, as students actively listened, responded thoughtfully, and respected differing perspectives. This year, teams engaged in timely, future-oriented topics that required deep thinking and multi-dimensional perspectives: In the English debate round, students explored the topic: “It’s better to reduce plastic use than to ban it completely” — presenting diverse viewpoints that balanced practicality and long-term impact in protecting a greener future. In the Vietnamese debate round, students discussed: “Winning is more important than enjoyment” — a seemingly simple question that sparked meaningful reflections on the value of effort and the true meaning of perseverance.
