    On August 8th, UTS Vietnam Talent International School was proud and honored to co-host the “OIC Symposium – Oxford International Program” training workshop. This event marks an important step in expanding UTS’s international collaboration and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to enhancing educational quality, providing students with advanced and comprehensive learning experiences.

    The training workshop attracted more than 80 dedicated educators from across the country, creating a vibrant environment for networking and learning. Drring the workshop, teachers received updated on the latest information from the Oxford International Program (Oxford University Press – OUP) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Additionally, the event provided an opportunity to review and assess the development of the OIC International Program in the 2023-2024 academic year, drawing valuable insights for the future.

    Meaningful educational perspectives from Dr. Karem Roitman

    One of the highlights of the workshop was the meaningful speech by Dr. Karem Roitman, DPhil in International Development from Oxford University. She stated, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot replace teachers, as teaching is not just about conveying knowledge but also about connection and mentorship.” Dr. Roitman provided all attendees with a profound perspective on the irreplaceable role of educators in today’s technologically advanced era. Her views reaffirmed the core value of educators and emphasized the importance of building relationships and providing emotional support to students.

    At UTS, teachers dedicate themselves to guiding students through their journey of knowledge exploration and comprehensive development. Growing a child does not merely teach from textbooks but also nurture valuable values and skills, helping students become confident and ready to integrate globally as global citizens.

    As the first school in Ho Chi Minh City to implement the Oxford International Program, UTS also pioneered the collaboration with OUP to develop and teach the subject of Sustainability in the 2023 – 2024 academic year. At the workshop, UTS shared valuable experiences from teaching through group activities that simulated how a Sustainability class unfolds. UTS’s innovative and practical teaching methods received considerable interest and praise from participating educators, affirming our continuous efforts to provide the best value to students.

    Collaborating with Oxford University Press (OUP) to organize the OIC Symposium not only represents a great honor for UTS but also serves as an opportunity to reinforce the school’s commitment to the mission of “Growing talent with care” and contribute to the sustainable development of education in Vietnam.
