“Học tập suốt đời” là 1 trong 6 giá trị cốt lõi tại UTS.  Tuần lễ Đào tạo và Phát triển (PD Weeks) là hoạt động thường niên tại UTS, tạo cơ hội cho những “người ươm mầm“ UTS cùng nhìn lại hành trình của bản thân và toàn thể Cộng đồng sau một năm học, chia sẻ những thông tin hữu ích và định hướng năm học mới; đồng thời, nâng cao kiến thức chuyên môn, nỗ lực để cải tiến các quy trình vận hành nhằm mang đến chất lượng giáo dục tốt nhất cho học sinh.

PD Week 2024 UTS - Những người ươm mầm cùng chia sẻ quan điểm giáo dục của UTS

Tuần lễ Đào tạo và Phát triển 2024 bắt đầu với Buổi gặp mặt toàn trường với sự tham gia của cả Cộng đồng UTS. Tại đây, những người ươm mầm tận tâm trong năm học 2023 – 2024 đã được vinh danh vì luôn nỗ lực và mang lại tác động lớn trong hành trình ươm dưỡng những hạt mầm tài năng.  

Trước toàn thể giáo viên – nhân viên, cô Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Lan – Hiệu trưởng Trường Quốc tế Nam Mỹ UTS khẳng định lại quan điểm giáo dục, tầm nhìn, sứ mệnh và chủ đề năm học 2024 – 2025 để tất cả những nhà giáo dục tại UTS hiểu rõ và đồng lòng nỗ lực vì mục tiêu chung ấy. 

Nâng cao kỹ năng chuyên môn và giảng dạy

Học tập và giảng dạy hiệu quả là một trong những mục tiêu được Nhà trường ưu tiên hàng đầu. Các chuyên đề nhằm giúp các nhà giáo dục nâng cao kỹ năng chuyên môn và giảng dạy đã được tổ chức xuyên suốt Tuần lễ đào tạo 2024 với sự tham gia và hưởng ứng nhiệt tình của các Thầy Cô.

Nội dung của các chuyên đề, hội thảo có độ bao quát phủ rộng cho tất cả các chương trình Quốc gia và Quốc tế, bao gồm tất cả các cấp học và khối lớp. Một số hoạt động nổi bật có thể kể tới như chuyên đề thiết kế đề thi, phương pháp giảng dạy và đánh giá một số bộ môn,… 

OUP - OIC Symposium - PD Week 2024 UTS

Bên cạnh đó, UTS đã đồng tổ chức buổi Tập huấn “Chuyên đề OIC Symposium – Chương trình Quốc tế Oxford” cùng Nhà xuất bản Đại học Oxford. Từ chia sẻ trực tiếp của những chuyên gia giáo dục hàng đầu từ Đại học Oxford, những kinh nghiệm giảng dạy của hơn 80 trường Quốc tế trên khắp cả nước tại buổi tập huấn đã giúp UTS có góc nhìn đa dạng, nỗ lực để cải tiến và phát triển chương trình Quốc tế Oxford (OIC) cho năm học 2024 – 2025.

Cập nhật những cải tiến đặc biệt liên quan đến cơ sở vật chất

UTS Nam Sài Gòn - UTS Saigon South Campus

Năm học 2024 – 2025 là năm học đầu tiên đánh dấu cột mốc: UTS cơ sở Nam Sài Gòn (Bình Hưng) chính thức được đưa vào vận hành cho Cấp Tiểu học và Mầm non. Sau khoảng thời gian thi công và chuẩn bị kỹ càng, nỗ lực của tập thể UTS đã được công nhận khi cơ sở thứ 3 này hoàn toàn đạt tiêu chuẩn cho một trường song ngữ liên cấp chuẩn quốc tế tại khu vực phía Nam thành phố.  

CSVC Mới UTS Văn Lang - New facility

Song song với cơ sở Nam Sài Gòn, trong năm học 2024 – 2025, học sinh tại UTS Cơ sở Văn Lang sẽ có cơ hội trải nghiệm học tập, rèn luyện với hệ thống nhà thi đấu đa năng mới. Nằm trong Khu Phức hợp giáo dục Văn Lang, UTS được thừa hưởng giá trị từ hệ thống cơ sở hạ tầng hiện đại, tiên tiến. Với những thiết bị, dụng cụ, phòng tập hiện đại cho nhiều bộ môn, khu phức hợp thể thao mới này sẽ góp phần lớn trong sự phát triển toàn diện của học sinh, đặc biệt ở khía cạnh rèn luyện thể chất.

Với sứ mệnh hướng đến xây dựng một môi trường học tập an toàn, tận tâm, sáng tạo, truyền cảm hứng cho tất cả học sinh phát triển tài năng và nhân cách để các em trở thành những người học tập trọn đời hoàn thiện và những nhà lãnh đạo nhân ái góp phần thay đổi thế giới tốt đẹp hơn; chương trình Giáo dục ý thức và Hành vi Học sinh đã được triển khai đến toàn thể Giáo viên tại Tuần lễ Đào tạo và Phát triển 2024. Đây là dự án đã giành giải thưởng từ cuộc thi BPIS 2024 – Best Practice and Idea Showcase; được xây dựng “từ ý tưởng đến thực thi” hoàn toàn từ các nhà giáo dục tận tâm tại UTS.  

Chương trình hướng đến việc đưa ra các hành vi phù hợp cho Học sinh nhằm kiến tạo một môi trường giáo dục tích cực và an toàn. Đồng thời, khen thưởng đối với các em Học sinh có hành vi tốt và đề xuất hướng xử lý với những hành vi cần cải thiện. Việc có một bộ quy tắc ứng xử rõ ràng, tích cực và phù hợp sẽ đóng vai trò then chốt trong sự thành công của việc giảng dạy và học tập hiệu quả. 

Tổng kết

Tuần lễ Đào tạo và Phát triển 2024 diễn ra trong vòng 2 tuần trước thềm năm học mới 2024 – 2025. Với 2 tuần tập trung hoàn toàn vào trau dồi năng lực cốt lõi của từng “người ươm mầm“, UTS tin rằng sứ mệnh “Tận tâm ươm dưỡng nhân tài“ vẫn sẽ tiếp tục. Lấy học sinh làm trọng tâm cho mọi hoạt động, tinh thần học tập suốt đời sẽ được lan tỏa tới các thế hệ học sinh tài năng tiếp theo.

Welcoming Ms. Ariana Akhavan – Principal of UTS Saigon South Campus

As UTS enters the 2026–2027 academic year, US Vietnam Talent International School officially welcomes Ms. Ariana Akhavan as Principal of UTS Saigon South Campus. With nearly 20 years of experience in education, including 10 years in senior leadership roles across national and international schools, she will work alongside the UTS community to create an environment where every student is empowered to fulfil their potential and become future-ready. Nearly 20 years in international education Born and raised in London in a multicultural family, Ms. Ariana was exposed from an early age to diverse traditions, languages, and perspectives. These experiences shaped her appreciation for differences and her belief in the value of diverse and inclusive communities. It was also in London that her passion for education began, taking her from the classroom as a teacher to becoming an educational leader with experience across both national and international settings. Ms. Ariana holds a BA (Hons) in History from Royal Holloway, University of London; a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in History from the University of Roehampton; a Master’s degree in Education from St Mary’s University, London; and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from Best Practice Network. Back to School 2026 – 2027: Ready to Grow, Lead and Make a Meaningful Impact at UTS

After the summer break, students officially returned to school, bringing with them bright smiles, excitement, and plenty of energy for the new academic year. From reunions with friends and warm welcomes from teachers to their first experiences back in the classroom, a new journey has begun – one where every UTS-er continues to GROW, LEAD and make a meaningful IMPACT. The energy of back to school fills UTS From the very first hours of the day, a lively atmosphere could be felt across UTS campuses. After the summer break, old friends reunited, new students took their first steps into the UTS community, and teachers were ready to welcome everyone back with familiar smiles and warm greetings. UTS-ers excitedly reunite with friends on the first day of the academic year Behind this exciting first day was the thoughtful preparation of the School team – from classrooms and shared spaces to welcoming activities – ensuring that every student returning to UTS could feel safe, positive, and at home, ready for the new experiences ahead. First experiences of a new journey The first day was about more than simply reuniting. Back in their classrooms, UTS-ers began settling into the rhythm of the new academic year, reconnecting with their homeroom teachers and classmates, and learning the essential information they would need for the journey ahead. Each activity also provided an opportunity for students to reconnect with their learning environment – actively participating, asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and working together to build a positive classroom community.  UTS-ers actively connect, share, and participate in activities on their first day back in the classroom. Professional Development Weeks 2026: Ready for a year of quality and growth

Before the 2026–2027 academic year officially began, UTS teachers and staff came together for Professional Development Weeks 2026 – two weeks dedicated to learning, connecting, and preparing for the journey ahead. At UTS, a quality learning experience for students always begins with the continuous growth of the educators who support them. UTS educators come together around a shared educational vision  Professional Development Weeks (PD Weeks) is an annual professional development programme at UTS, providing an opportunity for the entire team to reflect on achievements, update their knowledge, share experiences, and align on key priorities for the educational journey ahead. The programme began with a whole-school gathering that brought together the UTS community. During the event, educators who demonstrated dedication and made meaningful contributions throughout the 2025–2026 academic year were recognised for their efforts and impact in nurturing students’ talents. Addressing all teachers and staff, Ms. Anita Spittle – Head of School at US Vietnam Talent International School – reaffirmed UTS’s educational philosophy, vision, mission, and theme for the academic year, ensuring that every educator shares a common understanding and commitment to the School’s goals. Continuously enhancing the quality of teaching and learning A key focus throughout Professional Development Weeks was strengthening the team’s professional capabilities and further enhancing the quality of educational practice. The training sessions explored practical questions that educators encounter every day in the classroom: How can we establish and maintain positive expectations? How can we design a classroom environment that encourages students to become independent learners? How can we identify students’ different needs and provide the right support for each of them? UTS One is the official and all-in-one parent portal for the UTS community, designed to provide a seamless, integrated and modern connection between families and the School.
