Achieving CIS accreditation is not only a recognition of UTS’s continuous efforts, but also opens opportunities for students to access an internationally recognized education. CIS accreditation serves as evidence of the internationally benchmarked educational quality at UTS. The Council of International Schools (CIS) is an international organization dedicated to evaluating and accrediting schools worldwide, with a network of more than 1,300 schools across over 120 countries. It can be understood as a “global benchmark” that helps parents and students identify trustworthy educational environments. To receive CIS accreditation, a school must meet high standards in educational quality and undergo a multi-year evaluation process with rigorous reviews. Every essential aspect — from curriculum and teaching quality to student experience, school culture, and operational systems — is carefully assessed. The goal is to ensure that all elements of the school operate cohesively and meet international standards, creating a reliable, consistent, and student-centered learning environment. School Play Secondary 2026: Once Upon The Trial

Building on the success of previous years, this year’s production offers a fresh perspective on familiar fairy tales. Moving beyond the traditional “happily ever after,” the play “Once Upon The Trial” invites the audience into a dramatic courtroom, where characters are brought face-to-face with truth, justice, and questions that have never been asked before. Through a blend of acting, music, and contemporary storytelling, the play promises a theatrical experience that is both emotionally engaging and thought-provoking. More than just a performance, it offers audiences an opportunity to reflect on familiar ideas such as “love,” “family,” and “happiness” from a deeper and more critical perspective. INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHOW  Language: English Time: 17:30 – 19:30, Friday, May 15, 2026 Venue: Trinh Cong Son Auditorium, UTS Van Lang Complex Ticket price: 100,000 VNĐ Ticket booking: Purchase tickets online via this link Purchase tickets directly at UTS Shop or Main Lobby (daily from 4:20 PM – 5:30 PM). STORY SYNOPSIS What happens when fairy tales don’t end with “happily ever after”? Once Upon The Trial offers a completely new perspective by placing familiar stories in a cold and unforgiving courtroom, where magic is no longer the solution to every problem and every statement must be supported by evidence. The first case begins with Cinderella. No longer a girl saved by magic, she enters the courtroom with the story of someone who has endured years of forced labor, exploitation, and abuse under the guise of “family duty”. When crucial evidence seems to have disappeared and the case falls into a dead end, the truth is unexpectedly brought to light, revealing a story that has long existed but has never truly been heard. The next case leads us to Rapunzel’s tower, where she spent eighteen years in captivity, mistaking it for care and protection. As

UTS House Debate Championship – The arena of argumentation & multidimensional thinking of Primary UTS-ers

Last Friday morning, April 10, 2026, the Primary School House Debate at UTS took place in an exciting and dynamic atmosphere. More than just an academic competition, it was a learning playground where young UTS-ers could grow, learn, and respect one another. Throughout the event, students developed essential skills in listening, critical thinking, and confidently expressing their viewpoints, while fostering a spirit of open-minded and respectful dialogue. At UTS, each House is not only a team but also a representation of a core value that every UTSer strives toward. Each House carries its own unique identity, contributing to a diverse yet united student community. These values were clearly reflected in every debate round, as students actively listened, responded thoughtfully, and respected differing perspectives. This year, teams engaged in timely, future-oriented topics that required deep thinking and multi-dimensional perspectives: In the English debate round, students explored the topic: “It’s better to reduce plastic use than to ban it completely” — presenting diverse viewpoints that balanced practicality and long-term impact in protecting a greener future. In the Vietnamese debate round, students discussed: “Winning is more important than enjoyment” — a seemingly simple question that sparked meaningful reflections on the value of effort and the true meaning of perseverance. The House Debate concluded with many memorable moments, as awards were presented to the most outstanding teams and individuals: Vietnamese Debate Category: 🥇 First Place: Ruby House 🥈 Second Place: Citrine House 🥉 Third Place: Aquamarine House 🌟 Best Speaker: Trần Hoàng Minh (Grade 5, Ruby House) English Debate Category: 🥇 First Place: Emerald House 🥈 Second Place: Ruby House 🥉 Third Place: Sapphire House 🌟 Best Speaker: Trần Vương Minh Khôi (Grade 3, Emerald House) Congratulations to all winning teams!
