As a standout student of the Class of 2025, Quân not only impressed with his academic excellence but also earned Second Prize in the City-level Science and Engineering Competition and achieved an IELTS score of 8.0 during his high school years. His journey at UTS nurtured his confidence, strengthened his critical thinking, and developed his global mindset – a solid foundation for him to continue shining at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Reflecting on his current journey, Quân shared that the strong English foundation built at UTS has become a significant advantage in university. Thach Ngoc Huy, a Grade 12.3 student, has secured his place among outstanding UTS-ers with an impressive $50,000 scholarship from the University at Buffalo (ranked among the Top 76 National Universities in the United States). In addition, Huy received early admission offers from the University of California (Top 39 globally) and Binghamton University (Top 73 globally), reflecting his well-prepared academic journey and clear direction throughout his studies.

Nguyễn Thanh Mai Thảo, a student of Class 12.2, is a true “global citizen” with offers from three renowned Dutch universities:

• University of Amsterdam – #1 in the Netherlands, ranked 55th globally.
• Hanze University Groningen – Top 9 in the Netherlands, Top 145 in Western Europe.
• HAN University of Applied Sciences – Top 18 in the Netherlands.

At the University of Adelaide, Bảo Uyên not only secured a 20% tuition scholarship but also earned the title of Runner-up DUX, awarded to the student with the second-highest overall academic performance in her cohort. This achievement reflects a journey built on consistency, discipline, proactive learning, and a mindset shaped early on at UTS—one that values inquiry and critical thinking.

For Do Minh Anh, a UTS alumna currently studying in Singapore, her international academic journey has been guided by proactiveness, a strong sense of responsibility, and the belief that knowledge is truly meaningful when it is connected to community values.

Her journey at Nanyang Technological University – ranked among the Top 12 universities in the world according to QS Rankings – is marked by an impressive 50% tuition scholarship. This achievement is the result of consistent dedication and thorough preparation throughout her years at UTS.

Beyond academics, Minh Anh actively participates in volunteer activities, where she finds opportunities to share her voice, connect with others, and promote a positive image of the Vietnamese student community in an international environment. Notably, she leads a team of six members, managing communications, developing content, and contributing to the design and production of merchandise and materials that reflect community identity, helping bring Vietnamese stories and culture closer to global peers. 

Nguyen Minh Quan, a student from Class 12.1 (Class of 2024), has been awarded a 50% MOE Tuition Grant for the Electrical and Electronic Engineering program, with a minor in Data Analytics at Nanyang Technological University – ranked 11th among the world’s top universities. To grow and reach for the sky, every UTS learner must build strong roots to stay grounded on the journey toward their dreams. Through dedication and passion, Bui Thanh Thao Nguyen has become a first-year Computer Science student at the University of Illinois Chicago, earning a scholarship worth $28,000.

“Since I was young, I have always loved technology. I dream of creating software that benefits the community and improves everyday life. For me, Python is my favorite programming language. Every time I learn something new about it, even just a little, I feel closer to my dream, even though I am still at the beginning of my journey. I truly enjoy Python and can spend hours exploring and solving my own challenges.”

Nguyen also shared her key to success: “In addition to understanding information about the university and chosen major, clearly and logically presenting your passion and future direction is a powerful way to impress the admissions committee.”
