ARTS PROJECTS

Arts projects at UTS give students opportunities to understand, appreciate, practise, and create across a wide range of artistic disciplines. Through these experiences, students develop their individual potential and grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

“Bách nghệ hồn Việt” – Discovering Vietnamese culture through the eyes of Primary UTS-ers

“Bách nghệ hồn Việt” is part of the interdisciplinary New Gen 4 Project, where performing arts are integrated with Visual Arts, Music, Life Skills, and other subjects so that learning goes beyond theory. Through real experiences, students are able to explore, feel, and share the values of Vietnamese traditional culture in ways that are vivid, meaningful, and emotionally engaging.

School Play 2026: Stories from the sea - When stories rise from the ocean

In Stories from the Sea, Primary UTS-ers took to the stage in a full English-language Performing Arts production that reflected their confidence, creativity, and sustained effort after weeks of dedicated rehearsal. The programme offered students a meaningful journey in developing expression, teamwork, and confidence in front of an audience – all essential foundations for holistic growth.

School Play 2025: The Wizard of Oz

Inspired by the beloved classic tale, The Wizard of Oz – A Musical Adventure is UTS’s annual school-wide stage performance project. It provides Secondary UTS-ers with opportunities to explore their passion for the arts while developing confidence, teamwork, and performance skills.

“Proud of one homeland”

With the participation of more than 100 students from Grades 6 to 11, Proud of One Homeland was a vibrant artistic journey that brought literary works, historical events, and the cultural richness of Vietnam’s three regions to life through musical theatre, dance, and music deeply rooted in Vietnamese identity. The programme also carried a spirit of giving, as all proceeds from ticket sales and artwork auctions were contributed to the Impact Fund, helping continue the dreams of children in difficult circumstances.

“Strokes of Gratitude” Art Exhibition – Teachers through our eyes

The “Strokes of Gratitude” Art Exhibition is a space where UTS-ers share their heartfelt and authentic perspectives on teachers through drawings and personal stories. Through this activity, students not only express gratitude but also celebrate the care, guidance, and inspiration of the dedicated educators at UTS.

Sharing from UTS Community

At UTS, every student is given the opportunity to step onto the stage at least once during the school year.
