The 6th-grade UTS-ers have completed the bridge-building challenge in the “Talented Architect Contest,” showcasing their creativity and design skills. From the initial sketches to the final structure, they collaborated to conceptualize and construct a durable bridge model.   Beyond just “building,” they also tested durability, made improvements, and added aesthetic touches to ensure their projects met both functional and artistic standards. This was a great opportunity for them to develop technical thinking, teamwork skills, and apply STEM knowledge in practice.

In February, 11th-grade UTS-ers participated in the cross-subject project “Wave barrier”, challenging their creativity and problem-solving skills. To design effective breakwater models, they integrated knowledge from STEM subjects, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.   Project-based learning allows UTS-ers not only to understand textbook knowledge but also to apply it in practice and contribute meaningful values to the community.

“Pride of a Nation” is a stage for UTS-ers from grades 6 to 11 to showcase their talents through meaningful artistic performances, raising funds to support children in remote areas. Each performance is a cultural piece, vividly portraying the unique characteristics of Vietnam’s three regions through expressive plays and emotional dances.   More than just a night of performances, this event represents UTS’s pride in giving back to the community. All proceeds from ticket sales and art auctions will be donated to the Impact Fund, spreading the spirit of “small acts, big impact” and joining hands for a better society.

This meeting provided an opportunity for educators to share teaching experiences and discuss educational methods and innovation trends between Singapore and Vietnam. The visit by experts from the Ministry of Education, Singapore, offered UTS a chance to share its training experiences and achievements while gaining insights into modern trends, particularly in the application of technology in teaching and education management (EdTech). This exchange not only helps UTS enhance the quality of learning but also builds a strong foundation for fostering global citizens who are prepared to adapt and thrive in the digital age. Notably, the technologies applied in Singapore’s education system maintain a high level of consistency, ensuring uniformity across the curriculum. This contrasts with the Vietnamese education system, where schools often implement methods independently, leading to discrepancies in training quality. With the theme “Colors of Culture,” the young artists of UTS have created impressive artworks that showcase their national pride through images of the Lotus Flower, One Pillar Pagoda, and Ao Dai… Through social studies, history, geography, and literature lessons, students not only gain a deeper understanding of traditional cultural values but also express their personal perspectives through each brushstroke.   At UTS, students experience an international education while simultaneously nurturing their appreciation for traditional values. This harmonious combination fosters intellectual, cognitive, and moral development, preparing them to become global citizens.

In the Digital Age, UTS has integrated the Digital Citizenship Program into its International Curriculum to create a respectful, positive, and inclusive learning environment.   Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 take part in lessons on three main topics: Digital Skills, Digital Technology, and Online Safety. This program helps the school community understand and use digital platforms responsibly. To show their commitment to a safe and healthy school environment, students came together to sign a large board in the main hall, promising to maintain a safe and positive school environment by following important online safety rules.

The Identity Fair is an annual event for UTS Secondary students, offering a space to showcase their abilities, commitment, and dedication through vibrant and engaging learning projects. UTS-ers also demonstrate their talents in music, singing, and poetry performances, all with the meaningful purpose of raising funds for charity.   “This is an opportunity for students to apply creative thinking, explore and build their personal identity, create positive value, and contribute to the community. It is not only a chance for them to express themselves but also a chance to nurture essential skills needed to become global citizens,” shared by Ms. Viktoriia – an International Program teacher.

Shark Tank Season 2 has officially returned, bringing an explosive playground where UTS-ers transform into young entrepreneurs in a dynamic business arena. Inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 12: “Responsible Consumption and Production,” this season challenges students to merge innovation with sustainability.   The program not only ignites a passion for entrepreneurship but also hones teamwork skills, strengthens public speaking and persuasive thinking, and fosters practical creativity. More than just an academic project, Shark Tank Season 2 empowers students to build environmental awareness and take meaningful steps toward a sustainable future.
