School Bus Service Rules and Regulations

To ensure safety, punctuality, and convenience when using the Student School Bus Service, Parents are kindly requested to carefully review the regulations and guidelines below.

    • 1.1 Route Arrangement Criteria

    The arrangement of door-to-door pick-up and drop-off routes depends on the address of the pick-up and drop-off point and the number of students registered at each point:

    • For pick-up and drop-off points located on roads or alleys that are not convenient for traffic, do not ensure safety, or often experience unfavorable traffic conditions, the School will discuss with Parents/Guardians and confirm another suitable pick-up and drop-off point that meets the above criteria and ensures student safety.
    • For pick-up and drop-off points at apartment buildings, residential areas, or buildings, the School will pick up and drop off students at the main gate of the apartment building, residential area, or building. Parents are responsible for arranging student pick-up at this location.
    • UTS will inform and confirm the student pick-up and drop-off point with Parents before the student uses the service. Parents are responsible for bringing students to and picking them up from the confirmed school bus pick-up and drop-off point.
    • In case there is a change in the number of students on the route, UTS will notify Parents if there are any changes to the pick-up and drop-off time or route.
    1.2 Timely Pick-up Requirement

    Parents/Guardians are required to arrange student pick-up and drop-off on time. If a student fails to arrive at the pick-up and drop-off point at the designated time more than 03 times, the School reserves the right to immediately discontinue the service for the student, applicable to both Point-to-Point School Bus Service and Door-to-Door School Bus Service, without refunding any fees. 

    1.3 Route Requirement

    When registering for the School Bus Service, the pick-up point and drop-off point must be on the same registered route.

    1.4 Service Eligibility

    The Driver/School Bus Assistant reserves the right to refuse boarding to any student or Parent who has not registered for the School Bus Service.

     
     
    2.1 Appropriate Conduct and Attitude when using the School Bus Service
    • Students must be polite to and respectful of the Driver and School Bus Assistant, and must follow their instructions in any situations that may arise on the bus.
    • Primary students are prioritized to sit in the front rows; however, they are strictly not allowed to sit in the same row as the Driver.
    • Students must fasten their seat belts throughout the journey.
    • Students must not put their hands or arms outside the bus.
    • Students must not change seats or move around on the bus while it is in motion.
    • Students must not get on or off the bus while it is moving.
    • Students must not make noise or behave in a way that disturbs order or affects others.
    • Students must not throw belongings inside the bus or out of the window.
    • Students must not run after the bus if they arrive late at the pick-up point.
    • Students must not open the bus door or windows without the Driver’s permission.
    • Students must not change the registered pick-up or drop-off point without permission
    2.2 Maintaining Cleanliness on the Bus
    • Students must not litter. All waste must be disposed of in the designated trash bin.
    • Students must not bring strong-smelling food or drinks in plastic or paper cups onto the bus.
    • Students must not leave food or drinks on the seats or floor of the bus.
    • Students must not smear food or drinks on the bus, or throw food or drinks through the windows or doors.
    2.3 Protecting Personal and Shared Property on the Bus
    • Students are responsible for taking care of their personal belongings.
    • Students must not damage bus equipment or the belongings of other students on the bus.
    3.1 At the Morning Pick-up Point
    • Parents/Guardians must personally bring the student to the registered pick-up point and wait until the student has safely boarded the bus with the School Bus Assistant.
    • Students must be present at the pick-up point at least 05 minutes before the scheduled time to ensure the agreed travel schedule. If the student arrives later than the agreed pick-up time, Parents/Guardians are responsible for arranging their own transportation to bring the student to school.
    3.2 At the Afternoon Drop-off Point
    • Parents/Guardians must present the Parent Card issued by the School Services Office and receive the student directly from the School Bus Assistant at the registered drop-off point.
    • Parents/Guardians must arrive at the drop-off point at least 05 minutes before the scheduled time to pick up the student on time. If Parents/Guardians arrive later than the agreed drop-off time, the bus will take the student back to school. Parents/Guardians are then responsible for arranging their own transportation to pick up the student directly at school. Please note that each time a student is taken back to school will be recorded as 01 violation. Relevant rules and corresponding disciplinary measures will be applied depending on the recurrence level.
    • The School Bus Assistant has the right to refuse to hand over the student to any person who is not the registered Parent/Guardian for the service, if there has been no prior notice and/or the person is unable to present the Parent/Guardian Card. In such cases, the bus will take the student back to school. Parents/Guardians are responsible for arranging their own transportation to pick up the student directly at school.
