1.1. Academic support classes

UTS provides after-school support classes from 4:05 PM to 4:45 PM, Monday to Thursday, to help students effectively apply what they have learned and develop the ability to complete more advanced tasks.

These sessions enable students to understand concepts at a deeper level, address gaps in knowledge, and ensure that they are well-prepared to achieve strong results in assessments.

Beyond improving academic performance, UTS places strong emphasis on independent learning. Teachers act as facilitators, guiding students toward the correct solutions while encouraging confidence and resilience when facing challenges. This approach helps students develop a genuine interest in learning and build confidence in their abilities.

UTS aims to create a positive and engaging learning environment, minimizing negative feelings such as frustration or discouragement. Through these support classes, students not only strengthen their understanding but also gain the skills and confidence needed to thrive at school.

1.2. Wellbeing & Counselling services

The School Counsellor is always available to support students in their academic journey as well as their social and emotional development, with the goal of promoting personal wellbeing, building healthy relationships, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle for UTS students.

Students and Parents can directly contact the Counsellor. In addition, the School Leadership Team, teachers, or Parents may refer students for counselling if needed. In cases beyond the scope of the school counsellor, UTS may seek external professional support.

Effective counselling is built on trust; therefore, the Counsellor strictly follows professional principles of respect and confidentiality when working with students and families.

Students may receive support in addressing a range of common challenges, including:

  • Social relationships
  • Emotional regulation
  • Crisis intervention
  • Adapting to school transitions or relocation
  • School-related psychological concerns

Beyond high school lies a wide range of choices that students must navigate:

  • Taking a gap year or continuing to higher education
  • Studying in Vietnam or abroad
  • Choosing between public or private universities
  • Pursuing personal passions or following market trends

This includes:

  • University fairs and interactions with higher education institutions
  • Career exploration activities integrated into the curriculum

Key areas of support include:

  • Problem-solving and life skills development
  • Time management
