UTS OFFICIALLY ACHIEVES FULL CIS ACCREDITATION

US Vietnam Talent International School System (UTS) has officially achieved full accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS), one of the world’s leading international education accreditation organizations, recognized for its rigorous standards in evaluating schools that meet global benchmarks. This milestone reaffirms UTS’s comprehensive educational quality and its long-standing commitment to sustainable development aligned with international standards.

CIS Accreditation – A Global Benchmark for Educational Quality and Transparency

As parents increasingly seek international education opportunities within Vietnam, independent accreditations from globally recognized organizations have become an important measure of a school’s quality and transparency. Achieving CIS accreditation is not only a recognition of UTS’s continuous efforts, but also opens opportunities for students to access an internationally recognized education.

CIS accreditation serves as evidence of the internationally benchmarked educational quality at UTS.

The Council of International Schools (CIS) is an international organization dedicated to evaluating and accrediting schools worldwide, with a network of more than 1,300 schools across over 120 countries. It can be understood as a “global benchmark” that helps parents and students identify trustworthy educational environments.

To receive CIS accreditation, a school must meet high standards in educational quality and undergo a multi-year evaluation process with rigorous reviews. Every essential aspect — from curriculum and teaching quality to student experience, school culture, and operational systems — is carefully assessed. The goal is to ensure that all elements of the school operate cohesively and meet international standards, creating a reliable, consistent, and student-centered learning environment.

A comprehensive transformation journey toward international standards

UTS’s journey toward CIS accreditation has been a persistent and meaningful process marked by many important milestones and the collective efforts of the entire school community.

In August 2022, UTS officially became a member of CIS, marking the beginning of its journey toward full international accreditation. Although the evaluation process took place amid the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the school remained committed to close collaboration and consistent implementation of all standards. CIS representatives at the time highly appreciated the alignment in UTS’s vision, mission, core values, and the way these principles were reflected throughout teaching, student care, and school operations.

Continuing this journey, in November 2023, UTS welcomed the CIS pre-accreditation visit. Over four working days, CIS evaluators directly observed classes, conducted interviews, and engaged in in-depth discussions with various groups across the school community. Their professional feedback and recommendations became an important foundation for the official accreditation stage, while also giving UTS an opportunity to comprehensively reflect on its practices through an international framework.

Each accreditation standard is designed to ensure consistency and quality across the entire educational system.

Following this milestone, the school entered the self-study phase, a process that required deep participation from the entire system. Through continuous review, reflection, alignment, and improvement across multiple areas, UTS steadily strengthened its practices to meet the rigorous standards established by CIS.

Today, those efforts have officially been recognized through CIS accreditation. This achievement is not only an important milestone, but also a testament to the unwavering dedication of the entire UTS community in building a high-quality, modern, and internationally integrated educational environment.

This accomplishment is the result of the collective contribution of the entire UTS community — students, teachers, staff, and parents alike. It reflects a shared commitment that has transformed challenges into meaningful growth and driven the school’s continuous advancement across many dimensions.

A strong foundation for students to confidently step into the world

Achieving CIS accreditation is not only a recognition of UTS’s reputation, but also a confirmation that the school’s educational quality meets internationally recognized standards. On this foundation, UTS continues to deliver a well-structured, aligned, and continuously updated learning pathway, enabling students to access a trusted international academic environment right here in Vietnam.

UTS – an internationally accredited educational environment where quality is verified and students are empowered to grow holistically.

When studying at a CIS-accredited school, students are ensured access to an international-standard educational environment where every element — from curriculum and teaching approaches to assessment systems — is validated for quality. Within this global learning environment, students develop open-minded thinking, adaptability, and essential skills needed to thrive in multicultural settings.

This combination creates a high-quality and connected learning community where students, teachers, and parents share common values and standards. In such an environment, students not only learn through the curriculum but also through collaboration with peers, inspiration from teachers, and connections to a broader international school network. This strong sense of community forms a positive educational ecosystem that supports and empowers every individual to grow holistically while expanding future global opportunities.

Conclusion

Building on this strong foundation, UTS continues to maintain a well-structured, aligned, and continuously evolving learning pathway that enables students to access an international-standard academic environment in Vietnam. At the same time, all operational aspects — from academic management and faculty development to student experience — are implemented consistently in accordance with international standards. As a result, students are empowered not only to excel academically, but also to adapt, integrate, and thrive confidently in an ever-changing world.

UTS House Debate Championship – The arena of argumentation & multidimensional thinking of Primary UTS-ers

Last Friday morning, April 10, 2026, the Primary School House Debate at UTS took place in an exciting and dynamic atmosphere. More than just an academic competition, it was a learning playground where young UTS-ers could grow, learn, and respect one another. Throughout the event, students developed essential skills in listening, critical thinking, and confidently expressing their viewpoints, while fostering a spirit of open-minded and respectful dialogue. At UTS, each House is not only a team but also a representation of a core value that every UTSer strives toward. Each House carries its own unique identity, contributing to a diverse yet united student community. These values were clearly reflected in every debate round, as students actively listened, responded thoughtfully, and respected differing perspectives. This year, teams engaged in timely, future-oriented topics that required deep thinking and multi-dimensional perspectives: In the English debate round, students explored the topic: “It’s better to reduce plastic use than to ban it completely” — presenting diverse viewpoints that balanced practicality and long-term impact in protecting a greener future. In the Vietnamese debate round, students discussed: “Winning is more important than enjoyment” — a seemingly simple question that sparked meaningful reflections on the value of effort and the true meaning of perseverance. The House Debate concluded with many memorable moments, as awards were presented to the most outstanding teams and individuals: Vietnamese Debate Category: 🥇 First Place: Ruby House 🥈 Second Place: Citrine House 🥉 Third Place: Aquamarine House 🌟 Best Speaker: Trần Hoàng Minh (Grade 5, Ruby House) English Debate Category: 🥇 First Place: Emerald House 🥈 Second Place: Ruby House 🥉 Third Place: Sapphire House 🌟 Best Speaker: Trần Vương Minh Khôi (Grade 3, Emerald House) Congratulations to all winning teams!
