Benefits of the kindergarten education program at UTS
Diverse international curriculum

Oxford International Program helps develop your child’s overall abilities and thinking skills
In the UTS Kindergarten Program, children are introduced to an advanced, internationally standardized curriculum, with a highlight being the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC). This is a modern early childhood education program built on the philosophy of “Joyful Learning,” focusing on the holistic development of children’s abilities, thinking, and emotions. Children will become familiar with and practice skills through four core subjects: Wellbeing, English Literacy, International Mathematics, and Science. This approach helps lay a solid foundation for their future learning at bilingual and international school levels.

Kindergarten program at UTS is built on the Montessori philosophy, helping children expand their knowledge of the world around them
In addition, the Floppy’s Phonics program – a leading phonics learning method from the UK is applied for children from 18 months of age, helping them naturally become familiar with English sounds and language structures. Children develop reading and writing skills like native speakers through engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.

Engaging learning experiences help children develop creative thinking and spark a love for exploring the world around them
In addition, the Talent Program at UTS supports the holistic development of children’s soft skills during the “golden stage” through exciting and engaging learning experiences, where they can enhance their physical abilities and explore music, art, and STEAM. At the same time, Project-Based Learning is integrated into the program to provide opportunities for children to explore and solve real-world problems, thereby fostering creative thinking and developing teamwork skills.

Holistic Skill Development for children
At the UTS Kindergarten level, the curriculum is built around three main components: OIC, Floppy’s Phonics, and the Talent Program, which work together to support the development of seven key areas as outlined in the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework:
- Physical Development: Enhancing flexibility and developing both fine and gross motor skills through age-appropriate activities.
- Aesthetic and Artistic Development: Sparking creativity and artistic appreciation through activities such as drawing, music, and crafts.
- Emotional and Social Skills: Learning to share, cooperate, and empathize with others through group activities.
- Language and Communication: Practicing clear expression, emotional articulation, and coherent thinking through classroom interactions.
- Understanding the World: Fostering curiosity and a love for exploring the world around them.
- Reading and Writing Skills: Children are exposed to language naturally through engaging lessons and interactive games, forming positive learning habits and preparing for primary school.
- Mathematical Thinking: Developing logical thinking and becoming familiar with basic mathematical concepts.

Extracurricular activities support the holistic development of children: physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially, from the earliest stages of life
