    • Graduated from colleges and universities, majoring in primary education
    • Standard Vietnamese accent

    • Enthusiastic, dynamic and creative

    • Comprehend English file

    • Be proficient in using Microsoft office and some application software in education

    DEVELOP AND LAUNCH PLANS

    • Determine the individual educational mission connect to the academic year plan of the school

    • Develop lesson plans according to the syllabus whilst tailoring them to specific needs of your students.

    • Develop lesson plan according to the syllabus

    • Evaluate, discover and cultivate the students

    • Check, supervise and evaluate students’ study performances

    • Take on homeroom teacher’s tasks such as managing and keeping track of students at school, exchange information with parents.
    • Observation, give advice and share to other teachers following the rules

    • Develop plans following project models, pre-prepare teaching tools and follow project teaching methods

    ENGLISH TEACHER (Expat & Vietnamese)

    Department: International Program

    Report to: Academic Director

    Working location: HCM City

    Time fraction: Full time / Part time

    Position Summary

    English teachers work with students of all ages to increase their proficiency with written and spoken English. Students and their English teacher may not have any language in common, so the teacher must use basic explanations to communicate. The duties of an English teacher include cultural education, with the teacher serving as a bridge between a student’s native culture and the new culture experienced in other countries.

    Expat Teacher is expected to teach certain skills/subjects based on their teaching background and experiences:

    • English (Speaking – Reading – Writing)
    • Math
    • Science

     

    Vietnamese English teacher, aka English homeroom teacher, has 2 different roles in the classroom:

    • Teach assigned skills of English (Listening – Grammar)

    Responsibilities & Authorities

    Main Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare, and teach well developed lessons which enthuse and inspire students, and promote enjoyment of learning.
    • Effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction so as to meet all students’ learning styles with an appreciation for students’ learning differences.
    • Select and sequence appropriate materials, resources, and approaches according to the course/content area and audience of learners.
    • Write reports on students with clear formative comments and targets as to how to improve work by defined deadlines given, and provide regular estimated grades and feedback on assessments.
    • Maintain current lesson plans, assessment data (i.e., grades), and attendance records using a defined school-sanctioned electronic interface.
    • Complete administrative tasks as define and by set deadlines.
    • Supervise students’ attendance and behavior and follow up as appropriate, in accordance with the Student Handbook.
    • Develop materials and resources, implement, support and/or lead in the production and improvement of curriculum planning as appropriate, and undertake other academic project work as directed.
    • Ensure lessons are in line with planning and their respective objectives, and that segments of lessons are shared with students, as appropriate.
    • Provide feedback on materials, courses, and lessons to academic and other managers/colleagues as requested.
    • Attend academic, departmental, and school meetings when required, and attend/deliver professional development sessions as directed.
    • Satisfy extracurricular commitments as defined annually.
    • Encourage students to participate in all sports and social activities.
    • Adhere to standards and procedures detailed in the Staff Handbook.
    • Address and respond to student issues/emergencies as needed.
    • Participate in evaluation process consistent with defined parameters.

     

    Other tasks: assigned by Academic Director / International Program Manager on daily basic.

    Key Selection Criteria

    • Expat Teachers (from UK, USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, etc.)
      • – Bachelor’s degree in Education OR
      • – Bachelor’s degree and TESOL/ TEFL/CELTA certificate
      • – Teaching experiences with K-12 students
    • Vietnamese Teachers
      • – Bachelor’s degree in Education OR PGCE in TESOL/TEFL/Applied Linguistics
      • – DOET
      • – Teaching experiences with K-12 students
