US Vietnam Talent International School (UTS) was established in 2018 and is now a highly respected institute of education as it is a member of the Van Lang Educational Management Group which has a successful history of education in Vietnam spanning 25 years.

Here at UTS, we believe that all children can and should be considered talented, and that it is the role of the educator to help children discover and develop their own individual talents. We aim to develop talent in our students by helping them to be competent in the core subjects as well as committed to their own education and contributes to improving their lives and the lives of others. At UTS, we value Integrity, Respect, Courage, Contribution, Lifelong Learning, and Creativity.

Our curriculum combines the best of the American Common Core Curriculum with the Vietnamese national MOET curriculum and is adapted to meet the needs of our students in an international school context. In grade 9-12, students choose one of the two pathways: the international program with MOET diploma, or the dual diploma program with University of Missouri High School. The dual diploma program offers students the opportunity to graduate our school with a U.S. High School diploma, offering them a wider range of university admissions options.

As we enter a new decade, together with Van Lang University, UTS will become one of the top educational organizations in Vietnam.

Best regards,
Anthony Roberti, M.S.Ed., M.Ed.

U.S. Vietnam Talent International School’s (UTS) purpose is to prepare our students for life in the 21st century by helping them develop their natural inquiry skills to become well-rounded and lifelong learners.  Furthermore, our purpose is to provide students access to the Vietnamese national curriculum as well as an international education program.  There is also an emphasis on teaching the 6 core values of the school; Integrity, Respect, Courage, Contribution, Lifelong Learning, and Creativity.

At UTS we believe that children can and should be considered talented. It is our work to help them discover their talent based on Professor David Ulrich’s 3C’s of Talent; Competence, Commitment, and Contribution.  Competence is students’ knowledge combined with skills and values that are relevant.  Commitment is students being present and dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge or a cause.  Contribution is when students feel that their personal needs are met through their active participation in their school, family, and community.

Teachers play a vital role in modeling and living the core values, as well as competence, commitment, and contribution.  Our teachers know and learn more about their individual students by regularly connecting with parents, classroom interaction, extra-curricular activities, and other school events.  We cultivate strong connections with students, so teachers are better able to develop an understanding of their students’ social skills, talents, and areas for improvement.

The curricula we teach ensures that Vietnamese values and traditions are instilled, while also encouraging our students to be global citizens ready for the unknowns of the future.  To do this, we teach an optimized MOET curriculum and an international program which are both enhanced with a focus on STEM, the arts, health and physical development, as well as life skills.  The core subjects of Math, English and Science are taught along with literature, geography, and history.

Our teachers use various approaches to teaching and learning.  Our approach is student-centered, aimed at helping to discover the talents of each child.  Constructivism is the root of our teaching methods.  Students are critical thinkers, participating in active learning and project-based learning.  Students achieve mastery of skills and content through learning by teaching.  To best assist these teaching methods, technology is integrated into every classroom.

Uniqueness that helps enforce our commitments
